Lindsey & Brian: Dreamy Caribbean Beach Wedding

Story by Tina Causey-Bislick

Lindsey and Brian Williams had no doubts about the setting of their wedding. “We wanted to get married on the beach, and the Caribbean was an obvious choice,” informed Lindsey. Nervous about the hurricane season in the Caribbean, the couple, who reside in Arkansas, did their homework and were happy to discover that Aruba lies outside the hurricane belt. “We booked a quick weekend visit to check out the island and fell in love!”

Lindsey and Brian chose the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort, located on the tranquil shores of Palm Beach, as the host of their nuptials and reception, with in-house wedding specialist Lisa Dammerman overseeing the details. “We could not have pulled off the wedding without her!” exclaimed the couple.

The Attire

The bride wore a fitted, white strapless dress by Sachin and Babi. The groom wore a tan linen suit with a white shirt. They both wore white sandals—perfect for the beach.

The Décor

A simple bamboo arch was tastefully dressed in sheer white fabric and embellished with bundles of pink blush roses, white lilies, and white hydrangeas. Guests were seated in white wooden chairs, and the aisle was lined with white-washed lanterns. The couple opted for soft colors for a dreamy island look.

The Reception

Immediately after the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception on the beach, featuring a premium bar and hors d’oeuvres, including lobster with tarragon aioli, beef tenderloin pinchos with red onion jam, and tuna wakame spring rolls.

A poolside dinner buffet followed, with an Asian wok station with made-to-order stir-fries; a made-to-order pasta station featuring a variety of pastas, sauces, seafood, and meats; a sizzling hibachi station; and a colorful sushi display. “The food was incredible!” shared the couple. Deejay Tino kept the 72 guests dancing all night long.
