Pearls Are a Bride’s Best Friend

“Pearls are always appropriate.”

-Jacky Kennedy

The trending “it” accessory for weddings is pearls. The classic strand of pearls is timeless (Coco Chanel once claimed “a woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls”), but today’s modern bride may want to consider something a bit more updated than the pearls her mother and grandmother wore.

Revolutionary jeweler David Yurman’s love affair with pearls has spawned several collections utilizing the gem in adventurous and unconventional settings. We paired some of his collections, available exclusively at Gandelman, with bridal-inspired swimsuits and cover-ups from The Juggling Fish Swimwear. Shot on location at Villa Bougainvillea, Malmok, and Arashi. Hair and makeup by Bruce Stamper. Flower crowns by Shar’s Flowers.
