Po-Ké Ono Adds Second Location at Renaissance Marketplace

Aruba’s famed local chef and winner of the first Iron Chef Aruba competition, Urvin Croes, has another feather to add to his cap–a second location for uber-popular Po-Ké Ono.  The fast-casual modern Asian cuisine concept featuring poke bowls, sushi, and steamed bao debuted its first location at Azure Condominiums adjacent to Eagle Beach in the heart of the lockdown phase of the pandemic in 2020.  The on-trend concept proved hugely popular with the local community, and continued to score new fans once visitors began returning to the island in the summer of 2020.

Less than two short years later, Chef Urvin opened a second Po-Ké Ono at Renaissance Marketplace in downtown Oranjestad next to the marina.  Open for lunch and dinner (except Sundays), foodies can enjoy a selection of poké bowls, including the tradition tuna poké,  miso salmon, tonkatsu chicken, and even a Hawaiian-inspired spam poké bowl.  The menu’s airy and fluffy steamed baos are stuffed with meats like hoisin pork belly, Korean BBQ beef,  tempura spider crab, and pulled duck.  Sushi lovers can explore unique rolls like the signature Thailander filled with shrimp tempura, tuna and pineapple tartar, and layered on the outside with crushed peanuts, banana, pad Thai salad, and eel and peanut sauces.  There are plenty of vegan options for bowls, baos, and sushi as well.
